Manager, Strategic Accounts – State and Local Government and Education (SLED) - Texas and Oklahoma

Location: Must live in Austin, TX or Oklahoma City, OK.

About the job

The State, Local Government and Education team is looking for a Manager of Strategic Accounts to lead and develop a team of Sr. Account Executives in Texas and Oklahoma who drive revenue growth, protect recurring revenue, and strengthen relationships with SASstrategic customers. This role is accountable for setting priorities, coaching performance, and aligning team activities with SASbusiness objectives across software, cloud, and services.

As a key leader within the sales organization, you will help foster a high-performance culture, guide effective cross-functional collaboration, and provide oversight for complex customer engagements, escalations, and strategic account execution.

As a Manager, Strategic Accounts, you will:

  • Lead, coach, and developSenior Account Executives, setting clearobjectivesand driving accountability for performance and results.

  • Oversee execution of strategic account plans across a portfolio ofgovernmentaccountsin Texas and Oklahoma, ensuring alignment with customerobjectivesand SAS revenue and growth goals.

  • Monitor pipeline, performance metrics, and account health, taking corrective action to support achievement of business targets.

  • Partner with leaders across sales, consulting, customer success, marketing, and support to ensure aligned execution across accounts.

  • Provide leadership oversight on key customer engagements, including complex situations, senior stakeholder interactions, and escalations.

  • Support complex deal scenarios and contract negotiations requiring leadership involvement.

  • Contribute insights from the field to improve strategic account management practices, team effectiveness, customer satisfaction, and business outcomes.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor27s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales or account management.

  • Prior experience selling into the C-suite/Secretaryand at senior levels of large, complex customersor government.

  • Proven experience managing and developing teams, overseeing complex account portfolios, and working across cross-functional, matrixed organizations.

  • Equivalentcombination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
