JOB TITLE: Manager, Software Engineering

LOCATION: Irving, TX

DUTIES: Lead a team of software engineers in the design, development, and implementation of enterprise applications; oversee the implementation of software applications and systems; build scalable system design, data modeling, performance optimization and trade off analysis; collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements; define system architecture and ensure adherence to design and coding standards; manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion; conduct code reviews and ensure quality assurance processes are followed; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in development and production environments; coordinate with cross-functional teams including QA and operations; ensure applications meet performance, scalability, and security requirements; participate in process improvements and adoption of software development best practices.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Tech Lead, Project Manager, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 5 years in software development using Java/J2EE, applications debugging, testing, and performance tuning, and working with version control systems; 3 years in developing web-based applications using Spring Boot framework, SOAP/REST web services, and object-oriented design and development; 2 years in Apache Kafka and JMS messaging technologies; and 1 year in event driven distributed system design, AWS, JIRA, Confluence, SQL and NOSQL data modeling, in-memory databases, and processing streaming data with Apache Flink.
