Responsibilities

Full Job Description
The Service Manager overseas field and depot service, customer and distributor support, and the overall operational performance of analytical instruments the company produces. This role involves managing a team of service engineers or technicians, coordinating with vendors and internal departments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in service delivery and equipment uptime. A willingness to take on new responsibilities and travel are essential. This position is a full time position at our office located at 1405 Arrow Point Drive, Suite 1301 Cedar Park, TX 78613. Work hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with a one hour lunch break.

DUTIES
  • Lead and manage service staff
  • Oversee installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and service procedures.
  • Perform electronic set up, test, calibration, and troubleshooting of sold systems
  • In-House and field service (Domestic & International)
  • Maintain schedules to ensure timely service and minimal equipment downtime
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and timely resolution of service issues
  • Monitor and reconcile service inventory location
  • Ensure accurate service documentation and reporting in line with company and regulatory standards
  • Quote spares, service and service contracts
  • Customer and distributor support, written and verbal
  • Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in Electronics or similar discipline, equivalent experience will be considered
  • +5 years XRF service experience, combination of field and management preferred
  • Strong technical background
  • Field and in-house customer support experience required
  • Good documentation and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work independently, openly communicate with colleagues, and manage staff
  • Ability to learn to new products and software platforms as needed
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Windows Office experience required
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
