The Opportunity:

The Manager, Security Operations & Investigations will lead security operations for Mattel's El Segundo, CA corporate campus. This role focuses on enhancing day-to-day security operations, personnel performance, and overall campus safety within a corporate environment.

The position will build and maintain collaborative relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement, while partnering with internal teams to support business operations and events. Responsibilities include strengthening emergency preparedness, overseeing incident response, and managing complex investigations.

This role requires strong leadership and the ability to develop a high-performing, cohesive team aligned with Mattel's business needs.

This position reports to the Director of Global Security and Compliance.

What Your Impact Will Be:
  • Build and lead a high-performing El Segundo security team, fostering collaboration, strong communication, integrity, and a positive culture.
  • Provide strategic physical security guidance to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Lead crisis management strategy and program development while maintaining a high level of emergency preparedness and supporting business continuity efforts.
  • Drive Global Security initiatives, including the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all physical security matters, including crisis response, events, investigations, and officer deployment.
  • Oversee security planning and staffing for corporate events and public engagements.
  • Partner with Global Security teams to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead and manage security and safety investigations; collaborate cross-functionally as needed.
  • Oversee investigative resources to ensure timely, thorough case resolution and keep leadership informed of key developments.
  • Support GSOC operations through SOP development and identification of tools to monitor and mitigate risks to people, assets, and facilities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective daily operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

What We're Looking For:
  • College Degree (BA) in related field including Security, Finance, or Organizational Leadership
  • 6+ years' experience in investigations, corporate security management, brand protection, with major corporation and/or law enforcement
  • Preferred certification of CFE, PSP, and/or CPP
  • Interviewing experience
  • Experience in Leading teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in Spanish both written and verbal communication preferred

*The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base pay will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills and experience.
