The Manager, Salesforce Effectiveness is accountable for accelerating performance, productivity, and coaching capability across the Financial Planning salesforce and its leaders. This role designs and executes comprehensive learning, training, and development strategies translating business priorities into practical, behavior‑changing programs that build sales capability, strengthen frontline coaching, and simplify how work gets done across the field. The Manager partners closely with frontline leaders and key head‑office partners to identify skill gaps, performance barriers, tool adoption challenges, and process inefficiencies, and delivers innovative enablement solutions (workshops, interactive skill builders, coaching programs, continuous communications, and salesforce effectiveness tools) that drive measurable outcomes and consistent execution.

  • Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group.
  • Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives.
  • Recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.
  • Assists in the development of strategic plans.
  • Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
  • Helps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy.
  • Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Ensures alignment between stakeholders.
  • Coordinates the management of databases; ensures alignment and integration of data in adherence with data governance standards.
  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Monitors and tracks performance, and addresses any issues.
  • Builds change management plans of varying scope and type; leads or participates in a variety of change management activities including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation and sustainment of initiatives.
  • Leads or participates in defining the communication plan designed to positively influence or change behaviour; develops tailored messaging; and identifies appropriate distribution channels.
  • Provides input into the planning and implementation of operational programs.
  • Leads/participates in the design, implementation and management of core business/group processes.
  • Identifies business needs, designs/develops tools and training programs; may include delivery of training to audiences.
  • Breaks down strategic problems and analyzes data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Monitors and tracks performance and addresses any issues.
  • Gathers and formats data into regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.
  • Develops and manages a business/group program.
  • Prepares or leads execution of communications and change management plans to implement new processes, products, and sales campaigns into the sales force.
  • Acts as a single point of contact during implementation to prioritize and manage workflows.
  • Reviews the program for effectiveness, considers industry trends, and recommends enhancements; implements changes.
  • Develops sales force and marketing programs tools and delivers training programs.
  • Coaches employees to drive the most business value from sales force and marketing programs.
  • Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
  • Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

    Qualifications:

  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in Business or a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.
