The Manager, Sales Operations Engagement acts as the central leader for Hershey's GCC Category Management Operations and Engagement workstream, overseeing operational development, stakeholder partnerships, and subject matter expertise in Category Management. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, developing team capabilities, and ensuring alignment with business goals through consultative management and strategic project leadership.

Accountabilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for Hershey's GCC Category Management Operations and Engagement workstream, guiding its strategic direction and daily execution.
  • Develop and nurture partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including IDP and other potential collaborators, to advance Category Management initiatives.
  • Lead consultative stakeholder management and project oversight, including regular operations reviews, planning, and issue resolution for the end-to-end Category Management process.
  • Drive operational excellence by collaborating with line managers and supervisors to optimize daily output, maintain SLA/KPI achievement, and implement process improvements.
  • Facilitate talent and skills development by coaching and training associates in analytics, process automation, and business acumen, ensuring continuous growth in Category Management capabilities.
  • Direct supervision of GCC Operations and select internal governance employees, with influence across US CMG and Salty, and potential international support.
  • Responsible for planning and managing budgets, including invoice payment and resource allocation for assigned workstreams.
  • Strong people management and talent development skills, with demonstrated ability to lead and build high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in Category Management, Merchandising, Shopper Insights, and Space Management, including familiarity with analytic tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, and SQL.
  • Advanced consultative stakeholder and project management capabilities, with a track record of driving operational improvements and achieving business metrics.
  • Ability to integrate and interpret quantitative and qualitative data for actionable insights and analysis.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing environments, and foster collaborative relationships across functions.


Minimum Education & Requirements

  • At least 5 years CPG/Category Management experience in retailer or manufacturer environment
  • At least 5 years in leading teams or organizations in relation to operations management
  • Project Management experience is required (at least 5 years)
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required, Marketing or Business Administration, Business Analytics
