Are you a risk and contracts professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for proactive risk management? At Deloitte, we are seeking a strategic, collaborative, and detail-oriented Risk Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will help shape risk profiles and develop mitigation strategies for some of our most mission-critical engagements. What will your typical day look like?

  • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, SaaS/licensing, and vendor agreements, Subcontract Agreements, RFPs, ensuring alignment with defined standards
  • Partner with Deloitte leadership, internal stakeholders such as Legal, Privacy, IT Security, Insurance and other teams, to develop risk-balanced contracts
  • Engage with Deloitte's clients, vendors, alliance partners and other third parties on contracts and negotiations
  • Collaborate to identify contractual red flags, propose mitigations, balancing risks with business needs, and tailoring risk-based approaches for various engagements from advisory, to technology, to managed services.
  • Provide risk guidance, direction and trainings to Deloitte project teams


About the team

Deloitte Canada's 20+ member Technology & Transformation Risk team provides risk and contracting support to 3 service lines namely Technology & Transformation (T&T), Strategy, Risk and Transactions (SR&T), and OperateNext, risk managing a broad range of engagements and services. The team provides risk guidance through reviews, consultations and negotiations to protect the Firm from various contractual and delivery risks, while striving to meet the needs of our clients and third parties we contract with.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

You are someone who has:
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in contractual risk management, contract drafting, reviewing, preferably within a Big 4, consulting services, or technology services environment
  • Bachelor's degree required; a background in law is preferred
  • Deep understanding of contracting structures, negotiation strategies, legal and commercial provisions that pose a risk to the Firm, and risk mitigation, with the ability to translate legal concepts into clear, business-friendly guidance
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian contracting procurement and contracting norms, industry standards and best practices, as well as familiarity with relevant Canadian and global regulations and legislation
  • Proactive mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and proven ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines


Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $156,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
