Full Job Description

The Manager, Retail Expansion & Growth Marketing will lead the strategy, development, execution, and evolution of marketing plans that support our growing store fleet. This role will own the marketing strategy for new J.Crew Factory store openings—from understanding the unique customer and market opportunity to building integrated plans that drive awareness, traffic, and customer acquisition.

This person will also develop and lead our store anniversary program, creating a strategic approach to celebrating key milestones and continuing to build momentum after a store opens.

This is a highly cross-functional role that requires a strong mix of strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and communication skills. The Manager will work closely with Field Leadership to understand business priorities and local market needs, partner across teams to bring plans to life, and analyze performance to understand the impact our marketing is making. Most importantly, this person will be able to turn insights into action—using results and learnings to continuously evolve and strengthen our approach.

What You’ll Do

·Lead the end-to-end marketing strategy for new store openings, from initial planning and market assessment through execution, measurement, and optimization.

·Develop tailored marketing plans based on the customer, market opportunity, store objectives, and local business needs.

·Partner closely with Field Leadership to understand priorities, opportunities, and challenges and translate them into actionable marketing strategies.

·Bring new store plans to life across the right mix of channels, working cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to ensure strong execution.

·Lead the development and evolution of our store anniversary program, identifying key milestone moments and creating strategies that continue to drive awareness, engagement, and traffic after opening.

·Own the measurement and reporting of new store marketing performance, identifying the impact of our investments and the key drivers behind results.

·Go beyond reporting the numbers to identify the “so what”—connecting performance to insights, recommendations, and clear actions for future plans.

·Extrapolate learnings across stores and markets to identify broader trends and opportunities and continuously evolve our new store marketing playbook.

·Develop clear, compelling updates and performance recaps for senior leadership, translating complex results into a concise story about performance, impact, and next steps.

·Build strong partnerships across Marketing, Stores, Real Estate, Analytics, Creative and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment from strategy through execution.

·Identify new ideas, channels, and opportunities that can strengthen how we launch and support stores as our fleet continues to grow.

Who You Are

·A strategic marketer who can see the big picture while also understanding what it takes to bring a plan to life.

·Analytical and curious, with the ability to dig into performance, identify what matters, and translate insights into action.

·A strong storyteller who can confidently communicate strategy, results, and recommendations to both Field and senior leadership.

·A collaborative partner who builds strong relationships and can bring multiple teams together around a shared objective.

·Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple store openings, priorities, and timelines at once.

·Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve and there is an opportunity to build and improve how we work.

·Passionate about the customer and excited by the opportunity to drive growth at the local market and store level.

Qualifications

·5+ years of experience in marketing, retail marketing, integrated marketing, growth marketing, or a related field.

·Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies.

·Strong analytical skills and experience using data and performance results to inform strategy and decision-making.

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting insights and recommendations to senior leaders.

·Strong cross-functional partnership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously.

We welcome you to apply, even if you don't check all the boxes. Our passion is scouting life-long learners who are driven by curiosity, and who feel connected to our brands and share our desire to make an impact. We’re always seeking bright new talent who leverage their unique experiences to discover, grow and evolve with our teams.
