Under general guidance and direction by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Manager of Respiratory Care is responsible for assisting the CNO in the development, implementation, and provision of diagnostic and therapeutic patient care services in accordance with the policies of the hospital and the directive of Administration and Medical Staff. The Manager of Respiratory Care is also responsible for assisting the CNO in managing the departmental resources for the maximum benefit of the hospital. The Manager of Respiratory Care will also perform clinical duties and operate equipment according to departmental policy, and Respiratory Care Practitioner job description. These duties will be performed in all patient settings services by the department. The Manager of Respiratory Care should also be able to provide an advanced clinical expertise and education to the departmental staff members.

Shift Details: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Day shift.

Required qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Advanced degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
  • Upon hire: Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • Upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association.
  • Upon hire: National Provider PALS - American Heart Association.
  • 6 years Experience in respiratory care
  • 3 years Leadership experience (supervisory, lead or project management)

Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Advanced degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field. Or equivalent educ/experience

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
