Full Job Description
Manager, Resource Optimization & Employer Value

As a Manager, Resource Optimization & Employer Value, you'll play a critical role in translating complex employer benefit portfolios into an experience employees can actually understand and use.

You'll own client resource builds from intake through launch: understanding each employer's benefits ecosystem, identifying the programs and services available to employees, translating complex materials into clear, actionable content and applying Wellist's tagging framework so the right resources reach the right people at the right time.

This is detailed, execution-oriented work with meaningful impact. The quality of every build directly affects the employee experience, the value clients realize from Wellist and the insights we can generate about their benefits portfolios.

This role is ideal for a sharp, highly accountable operator who combines exceptional attention to detail with strong judgment and curiosity. You'll develop deep expertise in the benefit portfolios of leading employers and use that knowledge to help Wellist continuously improve how we deliver value at scale.
What You'll Own
Client Builds & Portfolio Intake
  • Own assigned client resource builds from intake through approval, delivering complete, accurate work against established timelines and quality standards.
  • Partner with domestic and international clients, brokers and point solution providers to understand each employer's benefits portfolio and available resources.
  • Lead discovery conversations to capture the full scope of each employer's portfolio, down to individual programs, services and micro-resources.
  • Develop deep knowledge of assigned client portfolios and serve as an internal resource throughout implementation and ongoing client work.
Resource Identification, Content & Quality
  • Review complex benefit materials and identify the programs, services and micro-resources that should be represented in Wellist.
  • Apply Wellist's tagging and eligibility frameworks precisely so employees are connected to resources relevant to their needs, benefits and eligibility.
  • Translate complex benefit information into clear, accurate and employee-friendly content that helps people understand what support is available and how to access it.
  • Coordinate review and approval with clients and benefit partners, ensuring resource work meets Wellist's standards for accuracy, completeness and usability.
Portfolio Insights & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify high-value programs, redundancies, overlaps and gaps encountered through client portfolio work.
  • Bring benefits expertise and qualitative insights from client builds to Client Success, Analytics and other teams to inform analysis and recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the quality, consistency and efficiency of Wellist's resource processes.
  • As you develop expertise in the role, contribute to process, technology and AI-enabled improvements that help Wellist deliver high-quality work at greater scale.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Client Success, Analytics, Development, Support and Benefits Operations throughout implementation and ongoing client work.
  • Answer cross-functional questions about assigned client portfolios and help teams understand the benefits, resources and eligibility structures represented in Wellist.
  • Keep client value and the employee experience at the center of the work.
What Success Looks Like
  • Within 1 month: You understand Wellist's approach to resource identification, content, tagging and quality and are certified to build listings to our standards.
  • Within 2 months: You independently complete assigned resource work and consistently meet quality and timeline expectations across client builds.
  • Within 3 months: You own client resource builds end-to-end, producing complete, accurate, high-quality work with increasing independence.
  • As you grow in the role: You become a trusted expert on client benefit portfolios and contribute insights that improve our processes, technology and ability to deliver measurable value at scale.
What You Bring
  • 2-4 years of experience in benefits management, HR, healthcare, consulting, operations, analytics or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to own complex, detail-intensive projects involving multiple stakeholders and significant amounts of information.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high personal standard for accuracy and completeness.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sense of complex information and apply frameworks consistently.
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to translate complex benefit offerings into clear, engaging employee-facing content.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Comfort working independently while remaining accountable to shared team goals.
  • Comfort with technology platforms and AI tools and an interest in using technology to improve the quality and efficiency of your work.
  • Experience working in high-growth or resource-constrained environments where adaptability, ownership and follow-through are essential.
