What is the opportunity?

Accurate, detailed and insightful credit portfolio reporting is critical for effectively managing business credit risks in line with regulatory heightened standards while achieving business growth objectives.

This role will cconceptualize, develop and maintain various dashboards (in Tableau, PowerBI and equivalents) for portfolio reporting and insights supporting the management and oversight of the RBC WM global credit and deposit portfolios. The role will develop the visualization of data across the business while ensuring data completeness, integrity and accuracy for financial and regulatory reporting purposes and help support key management business decisions.

What will you do?

  • Design, develop and maintain dashboards to monitor loan and deposit performance across profitability, risk and performance analytics
  • Enable dynamic functionality to drill down into detail views by asset classes, region, sector, ratings etc.
  • Develop dashboards to track changes in portfolio composition across regions
  • Work with data engineers and IT teams to ensure clean, well structured, and timely data flows
  • Maintain documentation on data sources, calculations, and assumptions used in Dashboard reports
  • Automate reporting processes and reduce reliance on excel based workflows
  • Ensure consistency and version control of published dashboards and review data discrepancies in business feeds and work with upstream and downstream partners in resolving


What do you need to succeed?

Must haves:
  • 2-3 years of working experience in data visualization with a focus on Tableau, Power BI or equivalent
  • Ability to develop reporting skills through the use of available tools (tableau reporting) as well as querying central databases/data lakes (eg SQL/Python) as required
  • Proven ability to sift through data, identify critical information, analyze, develop hypotheses, and make recommendations required
  • Deep data mining and technical skills and experience translating data into consumable messages
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across investment, risk and other functional partners
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning or Computer Science, or related degree

  • Proficiency in developing data pipelines and standardizing procedures for accuracy and efficiency
