Full Job Description
Manages the activities of programs and regulatory compliance staff in the initiation and implementation of regulatory compliance activities for the Department. Work includes responsibility for the development, implementation, and coordination of the Department's regulatory compliance goals, objectives, policies, and programs. Work is performed with considerable independent judgment and is reviewed through conferences, reports, and evaluation of results obtained.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following:
• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or one of the technical sciences; minimum of seven years of progressively responsible technical work experience, including three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT

The selected candidate for this position MUST:
• Be licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Florida OR licensed as a P.E. in another state and ability to obtain State of FL P.E. licensure within 11 months of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications include (must specify on application):
• Experience working for/on behalf of a governmental entity or regulatory agency, and
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory programs that relate to water/wastewater utilities.
