Full Job Description
Position Summary:

As a Manager, Registry Business Development, you will support the commercial team within Xpansiv's Registry Solutions business, working at the intersection of strategy, analysis, and market engagement. In this role, you will help build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across environmental markets while providing analytical support to advance near-term market infrastructure opportunities. You will work both independently and cross-functionally to support deal progression and contribute insights on priority commodities, market participants, and emerging trends critical to the company's growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business growth strategies, including the design and launch of sponsor-led and proprietary registries across multiple commodity classes (carbon, RECs, clean fuels, and others).


  • Evaluate emergent environmental and energy commodity markets to identify opportunities that strategically support the registry's long-term evolution, platform expansion, and revenue growth.


  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities by researching priority growth targets-including corporates, regulators, lobbyists, and non-profits-and engaging key decision-makers and influencers.


  • Strategically cultivate relationships with key environmental commodity market stakeholders, including public agencies, NGOs, developers, industry associations, buyers, and marketplace facilitators


  • Serve as a brand ambassador at conference engagements and a representative at industry working groups


  • Proactively monitor public and private procurement opportunities and tenders; respond to referrals.


  • Assess and qualify tender and referral opportunities, taking ownership of proposal development and RFP responses to advance qualified deals.


  • Keep a near-real-time pulse on market intelligence, analyze key environmental commodity market developments, and communicate timely updates to inform the registry organization's priorities, budget forecasts, resource allocation, and other critical work.


  • Build strong product and market knowledge by joining customer meetings and staying up to date on the latest industry trends - flagging and articulating those of commercial significance.


  • Plan and participate in conferences, events, and international forums that promote the maturation of the global environmental commodity markets, within which Xpansiv operates.


  • Some global travel may be required to support sales and business development activities.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum of 5+ years of experience in a related field (business, environmental management, sustainability, or similar)


  • Thorough understanding of environmental and energy commodity infrastructure, global and national climate change issues, regulatory policy, and associated stakeholders.


  • Demonstrates strong professional judgment; reliable and efficient in meeting commitments, self-directed in driving results and deadlines, resilient in the face of challenges, and composed under pressure.


  • Ability to quickly absorb commercial and technical concepts in the context of global social, economic, and regulatory change.


  • Natural entrepreneurial skills, excellent business judgment, and rapid problem-solving capabilities.


  • Attention to detail and time management skills across multiple projects and initiatives.


  • Ability and comfort working collaboratively across the international community in multiple time zones.


  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products and CRM systems.

Base Salary

Compensation for this role will vary among specific regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market, actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, knowledge, education and training. However, compensation in the following regions is expected to be as follows:

New York: Compensation is expected to be between

$95,000-$105,000
