Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY

The Manager Regional Fuel Sourcing sits within the Global Fuels team reporting to the Director of US Supply. This role will provide commercial leadership for the fuel in the assigned region by determining supply strategies, managing term supply acquisition, building/maintaining supplier relationships, driving monthly nominations, and supporting day to day issues as required. Role requires individual to work across multiple internal stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes (i.e., Logistics, IT, Facilities, Accounting, etc.) as well as support the U.S. Business Units in maximizing profitable sales margins and customer reliability.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Negotiates term fuel supply agreements across multiple products and suppliers
  • Develops annual and long-term procurement strategies aligned with business objectives; balancing cost, reliability, optionality, and supply diversity.
  • Provides functional leadership and works cross-organizationally to integrate new supply contracts (both branded and unbranded supply).
  • Collaborates with the U.S. BUs to forecast supply, demand, and understand market dynamics to ensure capture of opportunities and/or mitigation of risk.
  • Assists in providing continuous improvement in brand selection and in the reduction of the cost of goods of refined products supply.
  • Provides transparency on success, failure, performance, and projections to executive leadership through metrics analysis and reporting.
  • Develops supply acquisition capabilities through building relationships with refiners, marketers, traders, and logistics providers.
  • Achieves financial objectives by assisting in preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Allocates program costs by preparing operational and risk reports for analyses.
  • Increases professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; or participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing determined Financial and Key Result Area targets pursuant to Company Plan guidelines.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field is preferred. Other combinations of job-related experience and education that meet the requirements may be substituted.
  • 5+ years of fuel procurement, supply, trading, or commercial experience.
  • Strong understanding of wholesale fuel markets, supply chains, and index-based fuel pricing.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational and networking skills.
  • Very strong analytical and financial awareness for modeling and analysis.
  • Experience with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred.
