Job Description:

The Quality Manager will be responsible for providing Quality leadership and managing QA teams that support site, customer and manufacturing operations, which includes coordination of site quality certifications, customer quality, manufacturing quality, supply-chain monitoring process development and quality initiatives.
  • Managing a team to Support:
    • Site quality systems development and continual improvement, working within the site teams to maintain ISO9001, AS9100 certifications and other industry standards
    • Site Quality Management Plan to comply with MIL-PRF 38535 requirements
    • Customer Failure Analysis requests, to determine root cause, implementing corrective/preventive actions for returns and/or complaints. This includes managing any site visits by customers for quality related concerns
    • Coordinate and support customer audits in support of their AVL requirements
    • Reliability activities during new product introduction, qualification planning, MTBF/FIT calculations
    • Manufacturing by completing in process inspections, MRB fault analysis, root cause, CAPA, awareness training
    • Supply-chain with corrective actions for non-conforming materials, new material/product first article assessments/test plans, review potential new suppliers through surveys and on-site audits
    • Process engineering with development and implementation of new processes, including documentation and personnel training
    • Provide factory awareness training for ESD and FOD programs, as well as provide operator specialist certifications to IPC-610 and J-STD-001 quality requirements
  • Help facilitate continual improvement and learning culture across all functional areas through training and communication of quality initiatives.
  • Experience in qualifying and certifying products to MIL-PRF 38535 and maintaining site Lab Suitability and Quality Management Plan, including QMP maintenance, TRB management, SMD audits, supplier qualification and audits, records management processes.


Requirements/Qualifications:

  • US Person - This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States. Candidates are required to provide proof of US citizenship
  • Four-year degree (preferably Electrical Engineering) or 10+ years equivalent experience in manufacturing or quality
  • 7+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of managing and supervisory experience
  • Experience in developing, training and mentoring quality and manufacturing personnel
  • Proven experience in application of Six Sigma and 8D methodologies and tools to determine root cause and corrective action implementation for internal/external issues
  • Experience in developing and maintaining site Quality Management System, enabling the site to maintain its ISO9001 and AS9100 certifications
  • Experience in managing and partnering with suppliers including - qualification, auditing, measuring, continual improvement
  • Full understanding of the audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results, and follow-up
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently
