Job DescriptionThe Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for all activities required to successfully manage the quality assurance standards and procedures of the designated facility(ies). This includes the oversight of manufacturing-related quality functions at the manufacturing location(s), the enhancement of quality functions, product and process audits, and coordination of quality events to communicate and/or enhance performance.
Responsibilities include:
- Manages Quality Assurance site(s) functions at a tactical level.
- Works collaboratelly with Corporate Regional Leaders to ensure plant(s) improve quality performance and frequently interacts with other leaders across the region.
- Acts as a key contact for suppliers and customers on quality-related issues.
- Develops and executes effective methods for inspection, testing, sampling, and training.
- Deploy and validate approved revisions to existing methods and procedures to improve products and/or processes.
- Ensures alignment of data collection and analysis with organizational quality objectives.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- Six Sigma certification preferred.
- The successful candidate will have at least 5+ years of manufacturing experience and at least 2 years of quality experience.
- Enthusiastic about the value quality brings to the manufacturing process and passionate about keeping technical skills up to date, understanding best practices, and deploying quality systems to achieve goals and targets.
- Displays a strong ability to use data to rationally analyze and solve issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train and develop staff.
- Proven ability to drive Quality, performance, and cultural transformations.
- Thorough understanding of quality standards and methodologies.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Travel required: 10%-20%
