Full Job Description
Principal Duties & Responsibilities

The Property Accounting Manager (Onsite, Orlando, FL) is responsible for overseeing the fixed asset accounting staff and functions across SEA, working closely with the Company's corporate and park teams at all levels. The position's primary functions include ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the Company's day-to-day fixed asset activity accounting records and their conformity with US GAAP and SOX guidance; providing information to preparers for federal and state tax returns and property filings; generating quarterly tax provision support; and reporting associated with 10Q/K filings.

  • Serve as the point of contact on the Company's fixed asset accounting policies and procedures
  • Act as point of contact on internal and external audit functions
  • Determining capital versus expense treatment for investment and operational activities
  • Support fixed asset tax reporting obligations
  • Research and prepare technical accounting memos related to fixed assets
  • Complete closing month and year-end account ledgers
  • Prepare and/or reviewing financial activities, account reconciliations and journal entries
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned


Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related discipline is required
  • At least 6 years of corporate accounting experience or 4 years of public accounting experience
  • Demonstrated experience supervising and developing staff accounting personnel
  • Experience performing detailed reviews of financial information for compliance with GAAP and internal controls
  • Capable in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Accounting experience in a theme park environment preferred
  • Experience with SAP preferred
