Full Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE

Manages the Project Accounting team and ensures accurate accounting, reporting, and project controls of all construction projects. Serves as a liaison with various business partners with respect to ensuring Project Accounting policies and procedures are effectively communicated and operating effectively.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Oversee the day-to-day Project Accounting functions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of financial statements and account reconciliations of Project Accounting owned accounts.
  • Lead the monthly close process and Project Accounting review, including providing value add analytic reviews of financial reporting, account activity, and journal entries
  • Manage, review, and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for accuracy and timely completion.
  • Serve as a liaison and build strong relationships with business partners while representing Accounting's best interests in all cross-functional work
  • Sponsor and support of training and communication efforts related to Project Accounting policies for business partners.
  • Lead, identify, implement, and analyze process improvement initiatives and enhancements to tools and systems.
  • Develop, monitor and maintain the company's finance and accounting control policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Coordinate the implementation and adoption of new accounting policies.
  • Lead special projects and strategic assignments as needed.
  • Lead and manage the project accounting team by fostering employee growth, collaboration, accountability, and culture of continuous improvement.
  • Prepare, review, and/or analyze reporting for internal and external auditors.


WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education / Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation and/or Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred


Skills and Experience
  • Seven (7) years of experience preferably in project accounting, operational finance or related function.
  • Proven experience leading, developing, and managing a team.
  • Expertise in accounting principles
  • Ability to diagnose and solve workflow problems
  • Expertise in accounting ERP, knowledge of JDE preferred
  • Accounting expertise in financial statement fundamentals, ledgers and journal entries


Where you will work

This role falls into our hybrid work model, which is 2-days work from home (Friday and Monday) and 3-days in the office (Tuesday through Thursday) to optimize collaboration, relationship building and key stakeholder engagement and may require some travel as needed.

Compensation

The pay range offered for this position is $ 106,300- $146,200 A candidate's offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives
