Broadridge is growing!  We are seeking a Manager, Production Equipment Tech Support to join our team in South Windsor, Connecticut.   We are looking for someone to provide effective leadership to maximize the productivity, efficiency, quality and associate engagement of our Tech Support and Production Operations teams.

Basic Purpose: Provide effective leadership to assigned staff to maximize the productivity, efficiency, quality and associate engagement of our Tech Support and Production Operations teams.

Job Responsibilities:

Drive culture. As the site representative for Production Equipment Technical Support, the Manager has the privilege of leading one of the critical teams within the operation. That responsibility begins by establishing our team’s culture with care and continuing to strengthen it through consistent attention.

Maintain and optimize effective communication with our partners in operations as well as management, assigned staff and peers. 

Effectively deal with personnel related issues and ensure that assigned staff are effectively utilized to optimize team performance.  Provide ongoing feedback to assigned staff through team and 1:1 discussions and including via the preparation of periodic performance reviews (mid-year and end of year).

Ensure department personnel receive appropriate training/cross training, including the development and implementation of certification processes to attest to the effectiveness of the training.  Work with Production Operations Management and assigned staff to support machine operator training. Work closely with resources nationally both internal and external (vendors) to facilitate training sessions.

Provide direction and support to all production mechanics as required. Monitor all work in progress ensuring that a constant production workflow is maintained, and equipment repairs are completed in a timely fashion.

Ensure all assigned staff accurately utilize our call light monitoring system(s) to track service requests and performance.  Leverage database/system reports to optimize team performance, including making scheduling, staffing, training and procedural adjustments as necessary.  Identify and implement process improvements to drive productivity, efficiency and quality.

Work with the Vice President of Production Equipment Technical Support and appropriate vendors (as required) to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all supported equipment.  Monitor records of preventive maintenance performed on equipment and ensure that maintenance is performed according to scheduled deadlines. Keep informed of all new technology and equipment used by Technical Support/Production Operations and develop technical skills to ensure appropriate support can be provided for all equipment.

Fill in and assume all Management responsibilities in the Department VP’s absence.

Meet or exceed KPI’s (Efficiency, Uptime, Response & Wrench Time).

Optimize parts inventory levels/costs. Monitor and report on valuations and adjusted inventory levels bi-weekly/monthly.

Perform other duties/responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration preferred.
  • At least 5 years of production operations, manufacturing or related experience, preferably in management capacity.
  • Proven leadership skills.  Must be able to lead courageously and develop associates to maximize their potential.
  • Strong PC/systems skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio).
  • Strong analytical skills.  Ability to work with budgets and analyze data to make operational decisions that improve productivity, efficiency and quality.
  • Strong project management skills.  Must be able to multi-task and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).  Must be able to adapt communication style to interact effectively with associates at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong technical/mechanical skills is a plus.
  • Electrical/mechanical and electronics repair a plus.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Shift: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM -- (Weekends and Holidays as needed).

Salary: $100,000.00 to $110,000.00 depending on experience – Bonus Eligible.
