Cat Digital is seeking aManager-level Platform Product Managerto lead the strategy, definition, and delivery ofAI- and autonomy-enabled capabilities on the Helios Platform.This roleis responsible fordrivingplatform-level product thinking, ensuring Helios evolves as a cohesive, scalable foundation that enables intelligent, API-driven, and autonomous workflows across Caterpillars digital ecosystem.As aproduct leader, you willoperateat the intersection ofplatform product management and AI innovation, partnering closely withCat Technology, engineering, and domain product teamsto translate enterprise autonomy and AI investments intoreusable, platform-native capabilities.The role requires strongsystems thinking, cross-functional leadership, and execution discipline, with accountability for shaping platform roadmap, guiding product managers, and ensuring delivery of high-impact capabilities that enableAI-native and autonomy-driven solutions at scale.The role is critical to advancing Helios as anAI-native execution layerthat transforms insights into actions across machines, applications, and ecosystems.

What You Will Do:

  • Product Strategy & Vision (Autonomy + AI)
    • Define and drive the product strategy for AI and autonomy capabilities within our platform. Partnering cross functionally to align with autonomous machine, digital twin, and AI roadmap integration
  • AI-Native Platform Capability Development
    • Lead development of AI-powered platform services such as
      • Intelligent diagnostics and troubleshooting
      • Predictive and prescriptive workflows
      • Autonomous decision-support systems
    • Drive transition from manual workflows to AI-assisted and agentic execution models
  • Autonomy Enablement (Machine Platform Ecosystem)
    • Define platform capabilities that support:
      • Autonomous machine operations
      • Remote diagnostic, control, and automation
      • Closed-loop learning systems across fleets.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration across Engineering, Architecture, and other product teams
  • Software Product Execution & Delivery
  • Ecosystem & Commercialization Readiness


What You Will Have:

  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Software Product Business Knowledge: Knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.
  • Software Product Management: Knowledge of software product management; ability to operate and manage software product development projects at all stages of the product development lifecycle.
  • Software Product Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of technical aspects of a software products; ability to design, configure and integrate technical aspects of software products.

What You Will Have: (Preferred)

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 8+ years of experience in product manager, with at least:
    • 3+ years of platform, AI/ML, or data-driven products
  • Strong understanding of:
    • AI/ML concepts (assistive, predictive, prescriptive, agentic systems)
    • Cloud-native platforms and API ecosystems
    • Product lifecycle in complex, cross-functional enterprise environments or ecosystems
  • Experience with:
    • Multi-team objective and key results alignments
    • Value-based roadmapping
  • Experience with:
    • Autonomous systems, robotics, or machine intelligence
    • Industrial IoT, telematics, or connected assets
    • Building AI-enabled or agentic workflows
  • Familiarity with:
    • AWS/Azure cloud platforms
    • Data platforms, event-driven architectures, and APIs
  • Prior experience in business case financial expression and investment analysis

  • This position requires the candidate tobe based in either Chicago, IL ; Peoria, IL; Dallas, TX; or Denver, CO

Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $240,110.00
