About the Role

We are seeking a Category Manager to support Human Resources and Finance procurement activities across the organization. This role partners closely with HR, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders to deliver sourcing, contracting, and supplier management support while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and enterprise standards.

The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder with experience managing sourcing projects, negotiating commercial agreements, and supporting stakeholders through the procurement process. This position offers the opportunity to influence business decisions, drive value, and support critical corporate functions.

The primary focus of this role is HR and Finance procurement; however, responsibilities may expand to support supplier renewals, sourcing initiatives, and contracting activities across other Corporate Services categories such as Marketing and Technology, to ensure effective workload balancing and team support.

What You'll Do

Strategic Sourcing & Contract Management

  • Lead sourcing events, supplier negotiations, renewals, and competitive bid processes for HR and Finance categories.


  • Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies that align with business objectives.


  • Review, negotiate, and redline commercial contracts in partnership with Legal and business stakeholders.


  • Evaluate supplier proposals, pricing models, and commercial terms to identify value and mitigate risk.


  • Manage contract renewals and ensure agreements remain competitive and aligned with business requirements.


Business Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted procurement partner to HR and Finance stakeholders.


  • Provide guidance on procurement processes, supplier selection, and contracting activities.


  • Help stakeholders navigate sourcing and contracting requirements while balancing business needs and timelines.


  • Facilitate alignment among stakeholders, suppliers, Legal, and Procurement leadership.


Supplier Management

  • Support ongoing supplier relationship management and performance reviews.


  • Assist in resolving supplier issues related to service delivery, pricing, contract compliance, or performance.


  • Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations and business expectations.


  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier optimization.


Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure sourcing activities comply with procurement policies, contracting standards, and approval requirements.


  • Maintain accurate sourcing documentation and procurement records.


  • Support supplier onboarding, risk reviews, and compliance activities.


  • Promote procurement best practices and process consistency across supported functions.


Market & Category Insights

  • Stay informed on market trends, supplier capabilities, and emerging solutions within HR and Finance categories.


  • Provide stakeholders with insights and recommendations that support informed business decisions.


  • Assist in category planning and opportunity identification.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.


  • 3+ years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Contract Management, or a related business function.


  • Experience managing supplier negotiations and commercial agreements.


  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.


  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.


  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.


Preferred

  • Experience supporting HR, Finance, Professional Services, or other indirect spend categories.


  • Experience working with sourcing, procurement, or contract management systems.


  • Knowledge of contract negotiations, supplier management, and strategic sourcing methodologies.
