Responsibilities

Job Description

The Procurement Manager works closely with the Head of Vendor Management on contract management, vendor conflicts, strategic sourcing, contract review and management, and relationship management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT procurement, negotiation skills, and a proven ability to drive efficiency and cost savings.

This position reports to the Head of Procurement and Vendor Management. This position is ideally located in Austin, Dallas, or Houston, Texas. The role will require presence in office from time to time pursuant to the firm's hybrid work policy.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Act as the subject matter expert for Coupa deployment and adoption.
  • Maintain the firm's procurement function on Coupa for Contract Life Cycle management, Procure to Pay and Vendor Onboarding.
  • Maintain a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the firm's goals and objectives, including policies and procedures for purchasing products and services.
  • Identify, evaluate and onboard vendors and suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing agreements while ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Maintain relationships with key vendors, monitoring performance and addressing any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Manage the contract lifecycle management process, from initial vendor selection to contract negotiation, execution and renewal.
  • Collaborate with product owners and internal legal counsel to review and negotiate contract terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with firm policies.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as ethical standards, in all procurement activities.
  • Work closely with business services leadership to monitor and analyze procurement spend, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, including supplier reliability, compliance and data security.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data-driven analysis of procurement activities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or vendor management, preferably within a legal or professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with Coupa, ideally from deployment to adoption.
  • Ability to build strong trusting relationships with business partners and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving, consensus building, and negotiation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and systems, such as e-procurement platforms or contract management tools.
  • Knowledge of contract law and IT Service Delivery Management (ITIL) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite in particular data manipulation in Excel and presentation build in PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
