Job DetailsRegeneron is currently looking for a Manager to join our Process Sciences Downstream Sciences department. Our group supports the Process Sciences department by applying scientific and process knowledge, growing knowledge with small scale laboratory experiments, data analysis, troubleshooting, and investigations of manufacturing bioprocesses. You will be responsible for the organization and oversight of daily operations of a sub team of the Manufacturing Investigations Technology and Support team largely focused on chromatography processes.
As a Manager Process Sciences, a typical day might include the following:
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of engineers and scientists
- Supervising a group in collaborative investigations including scaled-down downstream purifications, performing technical investigations and creating associated reports
- Participating in new technology initiative efforts and continuous improvement projects
- Developing, writing, and reviewing technical documents, including protocols, reports, and memos
- Serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for manufacturing downstream operations (chromatography), data analysis and manufacturing support activities
- Participating in process and quality risk assessments and tech transfer activities
This role might be for you if you:
- Have demonstrated experience managing a team
- Are proficient in protein separation, filtration and purification using GE AKTA system
- Are experienced with scale-down model development
- Enjoy design of experiments, Mechanistic Modeling, and advanced statistical analysis
- Are skilled in producing spreadsheets and sophisticated presentations; have experience with database management and graphing
- Possess strong project management, interpersonal, cross-cultural, communication, and problem-solving skills
To be considered for this position you must have a BS/BA in life sciences, chemical engineering, chemistry or related field and the following years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience:
- Manager Process Sciences: 7+ years
- Sr. Manager Process Sciences: 8+ years
Level will be determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.
