Full Job Description
Position Purpose:

The Manager of Pro Takeoffs is responsible for complex strategic projects within a specified market in support of an outside sales portfolio that crosses over multiple merchandising departments. This market-facing manager leads a team of field-based Takeoff Specialists and quoters who are responsible for managing daily Pro takeoff activities, project management, and support of takeoff capabilities for OSS field partners in a Pro market. QuoteCenter has continued to expand into new markets rapidly and this position plays a significant role in contributing to HDQC sales.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 40% - Delivery and Execution - Support direct reports in all aspects of the exterior/interior jobs requested as part of the takeoff process. Partner across THD teams and suppliers to fully support the total project scope. Support and conduct customer takeoff pre-call meetings. Follow-up with takeoff supplier, internal quoting teams, and others to meet SLAs specific to the customer project and the overall market.
  • 20% - Excellent Customer Service - Build strong relationships and an understanding of the PMD's, PMS's, and OSA's needs with a focus on supporting their market, driving sales and service. Support direct reports in living our value of "Excellent Customer Service" through the training and coaching model that exemplifies this value..
  • 10% - Field Engagement and Escalation Management- Drive engagement with field outside sales associates and pro support managers in supported markets to identify gaps and opportunities for increased sales and conversions. Handle escalations from customers and sales associates within the market.
  • 20% - Leadership & Planning- Provide direction, guidance and support to Takeoff Specialists that supports OKRs and THD Pro strategies; Deliver consistent and effective communication, share best practices, give feedback, develop, while providing recognition for direct/indirect reports. Participate in project prioritization, preparation, and planning.
  • 10% - Team & Stakeholder Management- Partner with internal teams to improve product offerings, services, and needs that support the takeoff business. Attend team meetings and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional partners for strategic alignment. Partner and support market leaders for training needs, performance updates, and feedback.


Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
  • This Position typically reports to the Sr Mgr Field Operations
  • This Position has up to 8 Direct Reports


Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.


Physical Requirements:
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.


Working Conditions:
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of Tableau
  • Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Minimum Education:
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.


Preferred Education:
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of an associate's degree programor equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.


Minimum Years of Work Experience:
  • 5 + years of previous related work experience


Preferred Years of Work Experience:
  • 7 + years of previous related work experience


Minimum Leadership Experience:
  • 2 + years of previous leadership experience
