The Role

The Manager, Pricing Operations is accountable for leading or supporting the execution of different Real Estate Secured Lending (RESL) pricing initiatives for residential mortgages and secured lines, and applying business knowledge to provide actionable insights and information to senior management.

This role requires strong communication skills, strong decision making skills and reasoned, independent thinking, attention to details and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. As a key member of the team, the incumbent is also responsible for the effective execution of the different operational activities within the group. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work with multiple stakeholders across different levels in the Bank. The ability to work collaboratively in a team setting is critical for the success in this role.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  1. Lead pricing exception management and competitive review:

  • Review exception requests for mortgages and secured lines of credit.

  • Use thought leadership in evaluating exception requests that merit more flexibility for pricing requests while balancing profitability.

  • Provide insightful competitive review with the development of strong business relationship with the field across different distribution channels.

  • Monitor, track and report on rates authorized outside policy and make all necessary actions to change rates if necessary.


  1. Manage pricing initiatives, reporting and financial analysis:

  • Daily pricing activities: review of daily activities with management and provide back-up when needed.

  • Lead the execution of different rate changes.

  • Regular reporting on pricing activity, authorizations, exception levels and competitive review.

  • Provide relevant reporting and insights on the exception process including comprehensive analysis for exception results across all channels for both pricing and policy requests.

  • Work collaboratively with team members or other RESL teams to advance the group's analytical and reporting initiatives including enhancing and upgrading current reports managed within the team.

  • Work with other team members to ensure data updates on pricing and mortgage systems and compensation platforms are updated in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Provide active support to the rest of the team in all recurring and operational activities.
