Provide clinical and administrative leadership. The manager is responsible for the daily leadership of the staff and must maintain a budget-compliant environment. Daily management decisions must be coordinated with management and medical staff from referring clinical departments. The manager must exhibit strong clinical skills, leadership, good interpersonal skills, and a high level of initiative and creative problem solving. Works under the supervision of the Director of Perioperative Services. Responsible for the overall management of day-day planning, direction and evaluation of the staff on specified patient units with direct supervisory responsibility/accountability for the patient care provided on a 24-hour basis. Contributes to meeting the mission and goals of Holzer Health System as well as meeting all requirements of corporate compliance, regulatory, licensure, and accrediting agencies. Consistently accepts and effectively fulfills additional responsibilities as assigned by the VP, Nursing and/or Director of Perioperative Services.
Education, Work Experience and Licensure:- BSN required either nursing or healthcare related or actively enrolled in BSN program with completion date being no later than 2 years after accepting position. Master's degree is strongly preferred.
- Active nursing license recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing. Functions within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
- CPR, ACLS and PALS required.
- CNOR required within one year after accepting position
- Minimum of 3 years nursing experience with demonstrated leadership and clinical ability required.
- Minimum of five years' experience in OR/PACU/Critical Care.
- Experience in supervision preferred
