Job Description

What you'll do

• Lead the development and execution of new business strategies within the Cobrand and Partners organization.
• Identify, evaluate, and secure new partnership opportunities aligned with AAdvantage and commercial goals.
• Oversee modeling, analysis, and term sheet development to progress deal opportunities.
• Expand existing partner relationships through strategic initiatives and contract negotiations.
• Manage a team responsible for partner development, including pipeline management and deal execution.
• Collaborate with internal departments (Legal, Finance, Marketing, Loyalty) to ensure alignment andsuccessful implementation of partner agreements.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on opportunities and recommendations to other internal teams and Senior Leadership.
• Manage day-to-day relationships of newly-launched loyalty partnerships including commercial terms, execution, and contracts.
• Report to the Director, Partnerships and contribute to the overall growth and innovation of the AAdvantageecosystem.

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or strategic planning.
• Proven experience negotiating and managing complex contracts and external relationships.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
• Experience in airline, travel, or loyalty program industries.
• Familiarity with cobrand credit card partnerships or strategic alliances.
• MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
• Experience working with legal and financial teams on partnership structures.

Skills, Licenses & Certifications
• Strategic problem-solver with the ability to negotiate and navigate complex, dynamic environments and deliver innovative solutions.
• Deep understanding of the airline, currency, and cobrand credit card business to drive commercial value.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and build consensus across internal teams and external partners.
• Strong relationship management skills with experience collaborating with banks, airline partners, and marketing agencies.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Data-driven decision-maker with experience optimizing acquisition performance and developing scalable processes.
• Adaptable leader who fosters team development and identifies new opportunities to drive enterprise growth.
