The Opportunity:
Do you have a passion for parks, people, and public service? Lead the delivery of exceptional parks operations and help shape the outdoor spaces that make the Cowichan Valley a great place to live, work, and play.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Parks & Trails Division, the Manager – Parks Operations is responsible for managing the park operations and maintenance management programs including the Parks Capital Project Program; Parks Compliance & Enforcement Program, and the Risk Management Program; for both the Regional District’s community and regional parks services. The position develops and administers both short and long-range plans and schedules for parks operation and maintenance programs, coordinates and supervises contractors and parks employees, liaises with stakeholders and the public, prepares park operations, maintenance and capital development budgets, reviews cost estimates for parks projects, and programs, and develops park-related policies. The position represents management interests in dealings with unionized staff and is excluded from collective bargaining.

Hours of WorkSalary range of $116,164.93 to $135,807.016 per year (2026 salary range), commensurate with education, training and experience. Also included is a comprehensive benefits package including extended health, dental, and insurance benefits, pension, and paid vacation.
