Manager, People Systems

The opportunity

The Manager, People Systems is accountable for the prioritization, enablement and ongoing support for key People & Culture (P&C) systems, ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose, well governed, and aligned to P&C priorities.

Who you'll work with

You will partner closely across P&C and the Technology Division to ensure we have the systems in place to deliver on the People & Culture mandate.


What you'll do
  • Own and continuously improve assigned P&C business processes end-to-end (intake through resolution), including clear decision rights, standard work, controls, and documentation; ensure processes are scalable, auditable, and employee/leader centric.

  • Partner with the P&C Operations team to support their transformation roadmap by participating in process reviews, identifying opportunities to simplify/standardize, and translating process changes into actionable technology and enablement requirements.

  • Elicit, analyze and document business and functional requirements (including acceptance criteria) for P&C technology enhancements; translate P&C business needs into technical requirements and work with Technology partners (e.g., BA/engineering) to confirm feasibility, sequencing, and delivery approach.

  • Perform minor configuration and administration within P&C technology (e.g., workflow updates, business process configuration, security role updates where appropriate, notifications) following established controls and change practices.

  • Lead end-to-end testing activities for changes impacting P&C processes and systems, including test strategy, test cases, execution, defect triage, and coordination of user acceptance testing (UAT) with business stakeholders; confirm readiness for release and support post-release stabilization.

  • Support a strong P&C data governance approach by ensuring people data is handled securely and consistently (definitions, access, quality checks, retention and auditability), and by partnering with enterprise data/privacy stakeholders to align with policy and control expectations.

  • Manage and maintain a transparent intake and prioritization view of enhancements/defects for assigned processes and technology areas; provide regular status, risks, and decision points to P&C stakeholders and Technology partners.

  • Builds effective partnerships across P&C (CoEs, Business Partners, Operations) and across Technology to ensure solutions are integrated, well communicated, and adopted; support change management and enablement (training, communications, job aids) for process and system changes.

What you'll need

  • Training or certification in business analysis, product management, or Agile delivery (asset).

  • Strong understanding of P&C/HR business processes and operational service delivery concepts (intake, triage, escalation, standard work, controls).

  • Knowledge of HR technology platforms and concepts (e.g., Workday business process configuration, security concepts, reporting, integrations at a high level).

  • Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria; comfort partnering with Technology teams to deliver solutions.

  • Working knowledge of testing practices including UAT planning/execution, defect management, and release readiness.

  • Understanding of data governance, privacy, and control considerations when handling people data (access, retention, auditability, and quality).

  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to align diverse groups and drive decisions.

  • Experience owning and improving business processes, including process mapping, control design, documentation, and measurable continuous improvement.

  • Experience supporting HR technology delivery or operations (e.g., Workday or similar platforms), including requirements gathering, minor configuration, and release/change coordination.

  • Demonstrated experience planning and executing UAT and coordinating business stakeholders through testing, defect triage, and deployment readiness.

  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams (P&C, Technology, Finance, Risk/Audit) to deliver integrated solutions in a matrixed environment.

  • Experience applying data governance and privacy considerations to people data, including access, quality, and appropriate handling of confidential information.

  • People leadership experience (direct or indirect), including coaching, prioritization, and delivery ownership.

What we’re offering

Pay-for-performance with base salary and annual incentive based on individual and enterprise performance. The Base Salary range for this level is as follows: $105,000 - $155,000. Individual compensation and placement of this role in the range is based on different factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, demonstrated competencies, and internal equity as they relate to the role.
