About the Role

The Manager of Oncology Operations provides operational leadership for AMP's oncology service line, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care through efficient clinical operations, regulatory excellence, and continuous process improvement. This position partners closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacy, nursing, laboratory, finance, billing, and executive leadership to develop scalable programs that support growth while delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

The Manager is responsible for the operational oversight of oncology navigation services, In-Office Dispensing (IOD), specialty medication programs, survivorship initiatives, multidisciplinary tumor board activities, and community partnerships. This leader cultivates a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence while developing future leaders within the oncology service line.

What You'll Be Doing

Oncology Operations Leadership

Provides day-to-day operational leadership for the oncology service line through strategic planning, budget management, quality improvement, regulatory oversight, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration. Partners with executive leadership to develop operational strategies that improve patient access, physician satisfaction, financial performance, and organizational growth.

Oncology Navigation Services

Provides operational leadership and oversight for all oncology navigation programs, ensuring standardized workflows, measurable outcomes, and a seamless patient experience throughout the continuum of cancer care.

Advanced Prostate Cancer Clinic (APCC)

Oversees navigator performance, PPS reporting, physician collaboration, budgeting, operational metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Early Prostate Cancer / ADT Clinic

Leads hormone therapy operations, including Camcevi, Eligard, and Orgovyx programs while supporting navigator performance, medication workflows, KPIs, and patient access.

Bladder Cancer Navigation

Directs navigation operations, SOP development, quality metrics, budgeting, and coordination of multidisciplinary patient care.

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) Navigation

Provides oversight of BPH navigation services, ChartLens optimization, workflow improvement, clinical metrics, and continuity of care.

Overactive Bladder (OAB) Navigation

Serves as the operational liaison between COUG and external partners while standardizing workflows and monitoring operational performance.

Survivorship Program

Leads survivorship initiatives through patient education, care coordination, and program development.

Specialty Medication Programs

Oversees Xiaflex, Botox, and grant-funded medication programs while ensuring operational efficiency, financial stewardship, and patient access.

In-Office Dispensing (IOD)

Provides operational oversight of the In-Office Dispensing program, ensuring compliance with Ohio Board of Pharmacy regulations, ACHC accreditation standards, and organizational policies. Oversees pharmacy quality reporting, grants, budgeting, vendor relationships, pharmacy technician performance, medication inventory, and collaboration with billing and coding to optimize

financial and operational performance.

Laboratory Operations

Provides operational oversight of the organization's laboratory services, partnering with the Laboratory Director and Pathologist to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant diagnostic operations and to support continued laboratory growth.

Oversee laboratory operations, staffing, and workflow optimization.

Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and organizational quality standards.

Support quality assurance, proficiency testing, and laboratory readiness activities.

Manage laboratory budgets, productivity metrics, instrumentation, and vendor relationships.

Lead process improvement initiatives and implementation of new testing platforms.

Clinical Program Development & Performance Improvement

Leads the development and implementation of standardized operating procedures, workflow redesign, performance dashboards, quality metrics, and operational improvement initiatives. Utilizes data to identify opportunities that improve patient experience, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and financial performance.

Oncology Programs & Community Partnerships

Provides leadership for multidisciplinary Tumor Board operations, Cancer Registry activities, relationships with the NY Department of Health, and community partnerships including the Columbus Cancer Support Community, Cooking for Wellness, and Prostate Cancer Support Group programs.

Leadership & People Development

Builds and develops high-performing teams through coaching, mentorship, performance management, succession planning, and professional development. Partners with physicians and organizational leaders to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and coaching conversations.
  • Develop department goals, KPIs, and operational dashboards.
  • Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation.
  • Support regulatory readiness and accreditation activities.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives.
