Responsibilities

Full Job Description
Responsible for the management and administration of Maintenance Control. Responsible for ensuring Maintenance Control personnel are properly trained and qualified.

Essential Functions:
  • Monitor maintenance performance of all scheduled aircraft operations
  • Report essential information as to the status of operating aircraft
  • Coordinate and dispatch concerning all maintenance irregularities that affect the dispatching of aircraft
  • Responsible for the proper administration of MEL/CDL/NAI procedures as established in the Company's General Procedures Manual
  • Coordinate with the FMI and line maintenance, contract maintenance or o-call maintenance as necessary to ensure mechanical irregularities are corrected in accordance with the procedures established in the Company's General Procedures Manual
  • Is a participating member of the Technical Working Group
  • Ensure that the data in the pilot reports, ferry flights, MISs, SDR/MRRs, delays and cancellations, etc., is entered accurately on the Maintenance Control Logs (from MCI)
  • Ensure the MEL Extension Control Log (Form #M050) is forwarded to the CASS Department no later than the fourth of the month for the previous month
  • Confirm all work performed on Company aircraft is accomplished by qualified, authorized and approved personnel
  • In the absence of the Manager of Maintenance Control, or at times as required, the Manager of Maintenance Control may delegate authority to qualified personnel, but retains overall responsibility and accountability
  • Ensure on-the-job training is conducted and documented for Maintenance Controllers
  • Perform additional tasks as specified in the CASS/Reliability section of the Company's General Procedures Manual
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance


  • Hold a Mechanic's Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
  • Have one year of experience in a position responsible for returning aircraft to service
  • Have at least one year of experience in a supervisory capacity in maintaining the same category and class of aircraft as used by the Company
