To support the Pharm TranSCend program, Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a TPO VCM Logistics, IT Manager. The preferred location for this role is Titusville, New Jersey; however, the position may be based at another Johnson & Johnson facility in the United States or EMEA for the right talent.

Pharm Transcend is a global business transformation program that will modernize our foundational transactional processes and harmonize them into one "clean" ERP as a standardized platform for growth and efficiency gains. The program will simplify the Pharm ERP landscape from 7 to 1, standardizing processes to have a cost effective, fit for purpose digital backbone that will enable us to support the Pharm business with agility. Additionally, the program will remediate the end-of-life system exposure that we risk towards the end of this decade.

As part of the Pharm Transcend Program, the TPO VCM Logistics will be an active member of the Pharm Supply Chain JJT team, driving design and implementation of Innovative Medicine Product flows based on proven knowledge and experience in the area of Logistics & WM management and Intercompany sales.

The position leads design, validation and delivery of SAP S/4 capabilities and data, aligned with business process needs. The position governs the scope of the SAP S/4 template and drives template innovation and evolution through the deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

As part of the Pharm Transcend program, the TPO VCM Logistics will serve as an active member of the Pharm Supply Chain JJT team and will help drive the design and implementation of Innovative Medicine product flows. This role requires strong expertise in SAP Logistics, Warehouse Management, and intercompany sales capabilities.

The role will lead the design, validation, and delivery of SAP S/4 capabilities and data solutions aligned to business process requirements. The position will also govern the SAP S/4 template scope and support ongoing template innovation and evolution across program deployments.

TPO VCM Logistics will be accountable for the end-state design of product flow automation solutions across the following primary functions, including their impact on affiliate sales and transaction automation:
  • Logistic Movements
  • Warehouse management
  • Inbound and Outbound Deliveries

  • Master Data
  • Logistic and Intercompany Flows
Requirements Definition
  • Engage with business partners to define clear, actionable user stories.
  • Shape and prioritize the product backlog by applying business expertise, understanding customer needs, and translating requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Balance business value with technical feasibility while prioritizing stories and features, optimizing cost, and improving delivery efficiency.
  • Act as the voice of the customer within the squad to ensure the team is focused on building the right solution.
  • Maintain a healthy and actionable backlog by staying two to three sprints ahead, ensuring each feature has a clear definition of done, and confirming readiness before work enters the sprint.
Solution Design
  • Lead the translation of business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Define how requirements should be implemented from a functional perspective while continuously improving the user experience.
  • Drive the evaluation and selection of solution options, partnering with the Lead Engineer to assess technical considerations before user testing.
  • Identify solution needs related to integrations, configuration options, and the broader application landscape to ensure the final design meets organizational requirements.
  • Lead integration design based on business needs and Johnson & Johnson best practices, recommending appropriate connection types while evaluating downstream impacts.
Product Delivery
  • Facilitate release planning, sprint planning, and stakeholder demos.
  • Manage the integrated build with the Engineering team to ensure the end-to-end solution is compliant and operates as designed.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of technical testing by the Engineering team, and support Business Process Owners in planning and executing Business Simulation Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Apply compliance requirements within the role's scope of responsibility, ensuring SDLC documentation, system configuration, and compliance activities remain current and complete.
  • Drive reporting and analytics to provide visibility into squad performance, sprint metrics, and user outcomes.
Operational Leadership
  • Shape the squad vision and roadmap, guiding delivery of products and features that are aligned to measurable business impact.
  • Collaborate with other squads across the project and platform through synchronization ceremonies to deliver cross-squad priorities.
  • Engage with template owners and cross-functional teams to support delivery of squad objectives.
  • Plan squad resourcing needs, including role changes, new role requests, interviews, selection, and onboarding of squad members.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred Areas of Study: Information Technology, Supply Chain, or Logistics

Preferred Related Industry Experience: Pharmaceuticals or healthcare.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Applied knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems.
  • Experience working in a global or regional environment.
  • Experience supporting large-scale business transformation programs.

Experience and Skills:

Required:
  • Required Years of Related Experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, including at least 5 years of SAP experience and at least 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Domain Expertise
  • Strong end-to-end understanding of financial and logistical flows in multinational operations, including how Plan, Make, Deliver, Finance, and Tax functions integrate with one another.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP ERP Logistics capabilities, including Sales and Distribution, Logistics Execution, and Warehouse Management.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with knowledge of SOX and GxP compliance requirements.
  • Experience with Agile methodology and a strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle Management model and required documentation.
