Summary: LION Charter School is seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Manager with exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills to oversee our IT department, which consists of three other professionals. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise and a genuine passion for education, viewing themselves as integral contributors to the educational process by providing support to teachers, administrators, and students. The successful applicant should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing an IT team, preferably within an educational or non-profit setting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Serve as a proactive leader who delivers innovative solutions and demonstrates responsiveness and reliability.
- Act as the senior IT professional within the school, offering strategic vision, tactical implementation skills, and proficient project management expertise
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the IT team, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Intune in a cloud-first environment, including user and group lifecycle management, device enrollment, endpoint configuration, access controls, authentication policies, application deployment, and device compliance.
- Manage and support Asterisk/Sangoma PBX systems to ensure reliable schoolwide communication infrastructure.
- Administer and support Google Workspace for Education, including user accounts, groups, organizational units, security settings, and core productivity tools.
- Manage Cisco Meraki wireless access points, switches, and security appliances, including cloud-based network configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, firewall administration, and performance optimization through the Meraki Dashboard.
- Provide comprehensive support for approximately 160 staff laptops, 1000 Chromebooks, and classroom technology such as smart boards, projectors, and ELMOs
- Maintain and troubleshoot network printers, user devices, classroom technology, wireless connectivity, and endpoint access issues.
- Ensure the integrity and security of the school's technology environment through firewall management, web-filter configuration, endpoint compliance, access controls, and security best practices.
- Demonstrate strong management and decision-making skills, prioritizing tasks effectively and resolving high-priority issues promptly.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance the technology infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of the school community.
- Collaborate with academic leaders to leverage technology in developing impactful learning programs.

- Outstanding organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities.
- A bachelor's degree is required; professional certifications such as CCNA/CCNP/MCSA/MCSE are preferred.
- Familiarity with CIPA and E-Rate program requirements is advantageous.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken Spanish is a plus.
