Description:
Impresiv Health is seeking an experienced Manager of Financial Accounting to provide operational financial leadership for a multi-hospital community health organization within a large academic health system.

This position will serve as an operational backfill for an existing finance leader transitioning full-time to the organization's Workday deployment. Although positioned at the Manager level, this individual will operate in a controller-type capacity supporting a consortium of three hospitals.

The successful candidate will bring a strong general accounting foundation combined with hands-on hospital financial operations experience. Prior hospital or health-system accounting experience is required.

What You Will Do:
  • Provide controller-level accounting and financial operations support for a three-hospital organization.
  • Oversee day-to-day general accounting activities.
  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of general ledger activity.
  • Review account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and supporting financial schedules.
  • Support the preparation and analysis of financial statements and management reports.
  • Investigate financial variances, unusual activity, and accounting discrepancies.
  • Maintain appropriate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Coordinate accounting activities across multiple hospitals and entities.
  • Partner with hospital finance and operational leaders to resolve accounting and financial issues.
  • Support audit requests and financial documentation requirements.
  • Work across accounting and operational finance functions as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, consistency, controls, and efficiency.
  • Maintain continuity of financial operations while existing leadership supports the Workday deployment.
  • Work effectively within the organization's current PeopleSoft financial environment.

What You Will Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Progressive general accounting and financial operations experience.
  • Prior accounting experience within a hospital or health system.
  • Previous experience as an Accounting Manager, Hospital Controller, Assistant Controller, Controller, or in a comparable role.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • CPA, CPA-eligible status, or a comparable accounting background is preferred.
  • PeopleSoft financial experience is preferred.
  • Previous Hospital Controller or Assistant Controller experience is preferred.
  • Multi-hospital or multi-entity accounting experience is preferred.
  • Experience supporting community hospitals within a larger integrated health system is preferred.
  • Experience maintaining financial operations during an ERP implementation or enterprise transformation is preferred.
