Full Job Description
The Manager of Cloud Engineering will focus on and accelerate changes to our data centers and deploy cloud technologies to remedy shortcomings found in the IS Infrastructure and QNXT Assessments. The Manager of Cloud Engineering is charged with migrating to a new data center strategy combined with cloud for redundancy. This role will promote a collaborative culture between technology teams and business teams.

Location: Candidates must reside in the state of Wisconsin for consideration. This position is eligible to work at your home office (reliable internet is required), at our office in Brookfield or Menasha, or a combination of both in our hybrid workplace model.

Hours: 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week, 8am-5pm Monday through Friday

Job Responsibilities:
  • Direct the vision, design, and deployment of cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, and network systems, ensuring business needs are met. Provide cloud hosting service management strategy, process, and procedures across the organization
  • Oversee the creation of the end-to-end blueprint to serve as the execution map for engineers, developers, security professionals, and administrators. Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of a cloud environment, including designing applications for the cloud, planning the cloud architecture, adapting security measures, provisioning resources, and maintaining cloud components
  • Execute the technology strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Ensure the organization uses the technology to contribute to daily business operations for the present and in the future.
  • Oversee the development of cloud architectures, considering infrastructure components, networking, security, scalability, and availability aligned with industry best practices and client-specific requirements.
  • Empower and build a high-performing team of technology professionals who understand the company culture, objectives, and strategies to apply expertise to address organizational concerns, challenges, risks, and opportunities related to technology and information security practices.
  • Responsible for the timely resolution of escalated issues and risks, directing the work and resource planning.
  • Oversee the development of enterprise technology standards, business system development and configuration, governance processes and performance metrics to ensure IT delivers value to the enterprise.
  • Negotiate, contract, and manage service level agreements with external vendors and internal Network Health departments.
  • Collaborate with user departments to ensure that information systems meet business needs. Build relationships of influence with business unit managers. Help identify and resolve inefficiencies in business operations
  • Formulate IT policies, procedures, and performance management processes and measures
  • Direct the preparation, review and consolidation of IT business plans, budgets and forecasts
  • Regularly reviews IT costs and cost structures for IT services and products. Ensure that financial implications of IT projects and activities are communicated to the proper IT and business executives.

Job Requirements:
  • Associate Degree in a Computer Science related field or 4 years of directly related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2 years experience in a directly related role supporting and setting up a cloud-based infrastructure required.
  • 2 years leadership experience
  • 5+ years relevant experience working in a data center required.
  • Certified Chief Information Officer (CCIO), Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) or other relevant certifications preferred
