The Accounting Manager oversees daily accounting operations with completeness and accuracy and supports strategic decision making by maintaining strong internal controls and efficient financial processes. This role manages the staff accountants and collaborates with leadership across department and reports directly to the Assistant Corporate Controller.
What You Will Work On
- Manage and support monthly and quarterly financial close activities.
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Oversee inventory accounting, including adjustments and reserves.
- Manage accounting for prepaids, leases, PP&E, DTC, SG&A, and other expenses.
- Review customer and vendor setup and pricing in SAP.
- Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting.
- Perform variance analysis and provide commentary on key business drivers.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Respond to accounting inquiries and work with global accounting teams.
- Identify and implement process and internal control improvements.
- Manage, coach, and develop staff accountants.
- Support special projects and other Finance initiatives.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience.
- CPG or related industry experience required.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
- SAP experience required.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
