Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a ProgramManager Mission Assurance 2 who will be supporting the Global Mission Solutions Business Unit to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland.

This position is required to be on site at Baltimore, Maryland.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and program functions to ensure quality standards are in place and program quality is controlled. The Program Mission Assurance Manager 2 oversees a team of quality engineers supporting across deliverable products and contracts to facilitate on time, compliant deliveries. 

  • As a manager, they ensure quality assurance tests are in place; and aids the team in performing statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

  • They collaborate with Supply Chain and Supplier Mission Assurance to ensure timely disposition of supplier issues. 

  • In addition, they serve as the program interface to the customer quality organization. 

  • Ensure that Root Cause Corrective Action activities are performed when required and that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements. 

  • Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

  • May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.

  • May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies. Supervisory or management responsibilities for more than one functional area in the Mission and Quality Assurance job family.

The ideal candidate must be able to communicate in a team environment, have strong work ethic, and strong project management skill set.

Basic Qualifications for the Manager Mission Assurance 2:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of quality, engineering or manufacturing work experience, Master’s with 6 years of quality or manufacturing work experience; Associates Degree with 10 years of quality or manufacturing work experience; OR 12 years of quality or manufacturing experience in lieu degree.

  • Experience working with Government agencies.

  • Experienced background in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) or 8D activities.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

  • US Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management System certification process

  • Experienced in performing or leading FAIs and Program Corrective Action Boards (PCAB)

  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification

  • CAM experience (Cost Account Manager)

  • Secret SAP Clearance

  • Active DoD secret clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $139,800.00 - $209,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
