Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking aMission Assurance Manager 1,to lead a team of quality and mission assurance professionals supporting our repair and manufacturing programs in Warner Robins, GA. TheMission Assurance Manager 1willberesponsible fortheproduct and process compliance,through integration and delivery,to internal and external customers. This position is required to be full-time, on-site inWarner Robins, GA.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership & Team Development

  • Direct and mentor a team of8+ quality employees.
  • Conduct performance reviews, create professional development plans, and foster a culture of zero-defect manufacturing, proactive risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement training programs for quality employees.

Quality Management System Oversight

  • Own implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of ISO9001 / AS9100procedures/policies, and other defensespecific quality systems (Mil-specs,ITAR, DFARS).
  • Ensure audit readiness for DoD, DCMA, customer, and third-party assessments; lead internal and external audits and drive correctiveand preventiveaction to closure.

Process & Product Assurance

  • Define, validate, and monitor production quality plans, inspection strategies, and test procedures.
  • Identify risks, implement rootcauseactions, track effectiveness, and disseminate lessons learned.
  • Oversee rootcause analysis (RCCA) of nonconformances, field failures, warranty data, and failure investigations; implement CAPA andquality/reliabilityfocused actions.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering to translate design requirements into manufacturable,inspectable andtestable specifications.
  • Manage/lead adjudicationand expeditious closure of non-conformancesthrough MRBwith internal and external stakeholders.

Supplier Quality & Procurement Collaboration

  • CollaboratewiththeSupplierQualityorganizationto address supplierescapes.
  • Work withGlobal Supply Chain and Supplier Qualityto drive supplier correctiveaction plans and track their effectiveness.

Metrics, Reporting & DataDriven Decision Making

  • Track key quality indicators and present trend analysesand improvements to eliminate trendsto senior leadership.
  • Provide datadriven recommendations for process redesign, automation, lean initiatives, and costsaving opportunities while maintaining compliance.

  • Meet or exceed quality, safety, delivery, employee, and cost goal expectations for both external and internal customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, grow, and inspire high performing teams while delivering mission critical outcomes.

BASICQUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degreewith5+ yearsofQuality and/orMissionAssuranceexperience; masters degree with 3+years of the same experience; Associate degree with 7+ years of quality and/or manufacturing experience;OR9+ years of quality and/or manufacturing experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with leading teams and/or integrated projects.
  • ExperiencewithAS9102 First Article Inspection Reports Standard.
  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) techniques.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Minitab, Tableau or equivalent tools for statistical analysis.
  • Experience withISO9001/AS9100 Quality Management System implementation & certification.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Root Cause Analysis tools such as Ishikawa, FMEA, DOE, 8D, & 5 Why Analysis.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of experience in management or leadership of people and/or processes in a Manufacturing or Production environment
  • BS in engineering, or other STEM area
  • Working experience of SAP, MES, ISE and CADSTAR
  • Certified AS9100auditor orlead auditor
  • Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black-Belt Certified
  • Current US Government SecretClearance
  • ASQ Certifications such as CQE, CQI, CQT, CQM, etc.

Primary Level Salary Range: $104,500.00 - $156,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
