Summary:This position supports the MaineHealth Medical Group, assisting with oversight, implementation and administration of capital and operating budgets and ongoing variance and financial reporting and analysis. The Manager for Financial Planning may be assigned as a liaison for operational leadership teams as well as physician practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Manages the process and preparation of the annual operating and capital budget, annual budget targets and ad hoc reports necessary for review by appropriate leadership groups
- Resolves budget issues and reports unresolved issues.
- Performs analysis and updates budget schedules as required.
- Establish guidelines and procedures to ensure consistent, accurate and timely ongoing financial support is provided to operating departments and Service Lines.
- Manages variance reporting process, including preparation of monthly financial and statistical reporting.
- Performs various financial analysis and modeling for department initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to, product line profitability, pro forma development and evaluations of new and existing programs.
- Collaborates with Accounting, Decision Support and Financial Systems Support, and other finance and Operations Leaders to create new and to improve existing processes.
- Manages analysts' day-to-day tasks, prioritizes work, and provides guidance as needed.
- Fosters a high-performance culture through coaching, accountability, and professional development.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
- License/Certifications: CHFP preferred
- Experience: Minimum of three years of accounting and/ or financial analyst experience required. With a minimum of five years of finance experience in a Healthcare setting preferred.
- Additional Skills/Requirements Required: A high level of systems analysis and problem-solving skills necessary to analyze complex problems, formulate sound solutions, and implement new procedures and techniques.

The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package.
The pay range for this position is $97,177.60 to $131,497.60 per year.
Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
