Full Job Description
Job Purpose and Summary:

The Medical Affairs Central Program Office supports strategic priorities across Medical Affairs by helping leaders coordinate work across lines of business, functional teams, and key business partners. This role serves as an operational integrator, helping translate priorities into actionable plans, coordinating cross-functional efforts, monitoring progress, and ensuring follow-through on key initiatives.

Working closely with Medical Affairs leadership, analytics partners, and business stakeholders, this position helps improve organizational effectiveness through structured execution, stakeholder coordination, performance visibility, and operational support. Success in this role requires strong program management skills, organizational agility, executive communication, and the ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed environment.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Cross-Functional Coordination & Operational Execution
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning Medical Affairs, Analytics, Network, Market, and Business teams to advance strategic priorities.
  • Drive alignment across stakeholders, establishing clear ownership, accountability, timelines, and expected outcomes.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and execution barriers, facilitating resolution to maintain momentum and achieve business objectives.


Program & Initiative Management
  • Develop and manage implementation roadmaps, milestones, and deliverables for complex initiatives.
  • Oversee execution across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and leadership expectations.


Leadership Partnership & Organizational Effectiveness
  • Partner with Medical Affairs leaders to translate strategic priorities into executable plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Facilitate leadership forums, operational reviews, and working sessions that support decision-making, alignment, and accountability.
  • Prepare executive-level communications, recommendations, and updates that enable leaders to assess progress and make informed decisions.
  • Serve as a trusted operational partner by connecting stakeholders, clarifying priorities, and advancing key initiatives.


Performance Management & Business Insights
  • Partner with analytics and business teams to develop performance reviews, operational insights, and actionable recommendations.
  • Analyze performance trends, identify opportunities and emerging risks, and help leaders prioritize areas requiring attention.
  • Establish visibility into key initiatives, performance measures, and organizational priorities through structured reporting and governance processes.


Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
  • Assess operational workflows, governance structures, and coordination processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and implement scalable tools, frameworks, and operating processes that improve execution and organizational effectiveness.


Required Qualifications:

5 years experience managing complex projects/programs

Preferred Qualifications:

Project management training or certification preferred

Education:
Bachelor's degree and equivalent experience required

Master's degree preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$54,300.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
