This role partners closely with Marketing Planning teams, business line stakeholders, our media agency of record, and internal Centres of Excellence (Search, Social, Programmatic, Affiliates) to design holistic media approaches grounded in audience insights, channel effectiveness, and performance outcomes.

While this role is primarily strategy focused, the ideal candidate has strong familiarity with digital media execution, an understanding of the strengths and limitations of performance channels, and the ability to translate business goals into actionable, channel agnostic media plans. This manager plays a key role in shaping how paid media delivers growth for the organization.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Lead development of full-funnel media strategies in partnership with Marketing Planning teams and business line stakeholders.
  • Translate business objectives, audience insights, and competitive intelligence into cohesive media architectures that span Search, Social, Programmatic, Affiliates, traditional media, and emerging channels.
  • Partner with our media agency to guide strategic frameworks, audience approaches, channel mix recommendations, investment guidance, and measurement strategies.

Integrated Cross-Channel Planning

  • Collaborate closely with internal CoE teams (Search, Social, Programmatic & Affiliates) to ensure channel specialists are aligned to strategic direction and delivering best in class activation.
  • Facilitate seamless integration between brand, performance, and lifecycle teams to ensure consistency of message, customer experience, and ROI.
  • Evaluate channel roles within the consumer journey and contribute to the development of 360 briefs and integrated go-to market plans.

Performance Insights & Optimization Strategy

  • Leverage data, analytics, and platform learnings to inform channel investment decisions and strategic optimizations.
  • Analyze campaign performance holistically-across channels and funnel stages-to identify opportunities to scale, refine, or reallocate media.
  • Partner with measurement teams to define KPIs, attribution considerations, testing roadmaps, and learning agendas.

Agency & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as day-to-day strategic partner to the media agency, ensuring alignment on priorities, quality of output, timelines, and ongoing optimization.
  • Influence and guide internal partners across Marketing Planning, Analytics, Creative, and Business Lines to ensure media strategies ladder into enterprise priorities.
  • Present strategies, performance insights, and recommendations to senior stakeholders with clarity and confidence.

Governance, Budgeting & Risk Management

  • Support annual and in year planning cycles, including investment recommendations, scenario modelling, and budget stewardship.
  • Ensure all media activities adhere to internal controls, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Help champion operational excellence, documentation, and scalable processes across the growth media ecosystem.

Innovation & Market Intelligence

  • Stay abreast of platform advancements, consumer behavior shifts, and media marketplace trends to inform future planning.
  • Identify opportunities for testing emerging formats, channels, and audience approaches that contribute to growth and differentiation.
  • Foster a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
