Job Overview:

Job Summary:

The Manager, Materials Planning will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the materials planning processes to ensure the timely and cost-effective availability of materials required for Primoris Services Corporation projects. This role involves leading a team, developing strategic sourcing plans, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with various departments to meet operational demands.

Job Responsibilities:

* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of materials planners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
* Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive materials planning strategies, policies, and procedures to align with business objectives.
* Forecast material requirements based on project schedules, historical data, and anticipated demands, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* Manage inventory levels across multiple projects and warehouses, optimizing stock to minimize carrying costs while preventing stockouts.
* Collaborate with procurement, project management, and operations teams to ensure seamless material flow and resolve supply chain issues.
* Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to secure the best value for Primoris Services Corporation.
* Monitor supplier performance, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure supply chain reliability.
* Implement and utilize advanced planning systems and tools to improve forecasting accuracy, inventory optimization, and reporting capabilities.
* Prepare and present reports on materials planning performance, including key metrics, trends, and recommendations to senior management.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Job Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in materials planning, inventory management, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
* Proven experience in a project-based industry, preferably construction, infrastructure, or heavy industrial sectors.
* Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced planning software.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
* Certifications such as CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) are highly desirable.
