Job DescriptionThe Manager, Materials Planning is responsible for creating the production and material schedules to meet on time delivery targets. In addition, this leader will coordinate with key stakeholders in purchasing and inventory control when adjustments are needed and troubleshoots complex issues as necessary.
Responsibilities- Develop methods and standards to measure and monitor flow and control of material on the manufacturing floors (WIP management)
- Utilize and manage core metrics and Key Process Indicators to lead the planning and production control teams in order to ensure material supply meets production requirements
- Work with the teams to capitalize on opportunities and issues such as what if scenarios, push outs and pull ins
- Participate in SIOP process working closely, and serving as a backup, with the Master Planners to ensure job orders/WIP is in line with minimal compression
- Work with peer groups to ensure alignment and transparency of the build process
- Manage the development of the planning schedule
QualificationsExperience:
Bachelors Degree: Minimum four (4) years of experience in people management. Minimum six (6) years of experience in field. OR Masters Degree: Minimum two (2) years of experience in people management. Minimum six (6) years of experience in field.Additional Information This position may require access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition of any job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you may need to obtain a U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.
