Full Job Description
The Manager, Marketing plays a key role in developing and executing marketing programs that support the growth of the National Wholesale Division of Loblaw Companies Limited.

Working closely with the Director, Marketing, this role will help shape and deliver national marketing strategies across seasonal events, brand programs, customer campaigns, digital and social channels, and in-store initiatives. The Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to bring programs to life, ensuring strong execution, brand consistency and measurable results.

This role is ideal for a collaborative, highly organized marketer who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the annual marketing plan, ensuring programs align with overall business and brand objectives.
  • Develop integrated communication plans for key marketing programs, seasonal events and customer campaigns.
  • Lead the end-to-end execution of marketing initiatives, managing timelines, deliverables, approvals and cross-functional workstreams.
  • Develop clear, compelling creative briefs and partner with internal and external creative teams to deliver work that aligns with brand strategy and objectives.
  • Collaborate across Marketing, Merchandising, Operations and other cross-functional teams, as well as external partners, to ensure seamless execution of plans and programs, including flyer and in-store initiatives.
  • Oversee digital marketing channels, including website content, email marketing and social media, and identify opportunities to strengthen customer engagement.
  • Monitor consumer, competitor, industry and brand activity, translating insights into actionable recommendations and informed points of view.
  • Develop dashboards, status updates, post-program analyses and reporting to measure performance against established KPIs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support marketing budgets by creating purchase orders and ensuring effective stewardship of resources.
  • Oversee key executional workstreams, including store communications, legal and compliance approvals, flyer programs, store events and operational execution.
  • Champion brand standards and ensure marketing programs and creative consistently reflect established brand guardrails.
  • Maintain organized and accessible brand documents, creative assets and program materials.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve marketing plans, processes and ways of working.

Role Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in marketing, advertising, retail, merchandising or a related environment; experience in grocery retail, foodservice or consumer packaged goods is an asset.
  • University or college degree in Marketing, Business or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience across digital marketing channels, including website content and analytics, email marketing and social media.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading initiatives from planning through execution and measurement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing marketing and creative communications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and with external partners.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data and insights into recommendations.
  • Sound judgment, strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to think strategically while remaining comfortable managing the details required for strong execution.
  • French language skills are an asset.
