Full Job Description
PURPOSE

The Manager, Marketing Growth & Automation is responsible for driving business growth through the strategic oversight of three distinct specialist functions:
  • Data & Marketing technology
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Dealer Enablement

This role leads a team to optimize the digital marketing stack, ensure data-driven personalization for customer communications, and maximize the efficiency of dealer advertising and associated programs. The manager aligns the team's efforts to drive sales, improve customer engagement, and maintain a robust infrastructure that serves as the foundation for the organization's marketing performance.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Marketing Growth & Automation

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Integrated Growth & Ecosystem Alignment

Your role is to ensure that technology, customer data, and dealer-level activities are not operating in silos but are reinforcing one another to drive sales and loyalty.

  • Unified Data Flow: Oversee the architecture where MarTech infrastructure supports CRM personalization, while Dealer Tier 3 marketing programs (Dealer Enablement) feed back into the overall performance data loop.
  • Brand & Experience Consistency: Manage the strategic alignment of dealer-level website/advertising assets with corporate brand compliance standards, ensuring the "customer experience" remains seamless from corporate touchpoints down to the dealership level.
  • Cross-Functional Roadmap: Develop a roadmap that bridges the gap between technical infrastructure (data integration) and tactical execution (corporate initiatives, dealer programs and CRM campaigns).

2. Operational Governance & Risk Management

With "Automation" in the title, your oversight must ensure that automated systems are scalable, compliant, and secure.
  • Compliance Oversight: Take strategic responsibility for ensuring all CRM activities and data integrations adhere to rigorous privacy regulations such as CASL and PIPEDA, etc.
  • Data Integrity Standards: Move beyond day-to-day troubleshooting to set the strategic policy for "single source of truth" data management, establishing standards for data quality and system governance that the team must follow.
  • Fiscal Responsibility: Manage the consolidated financials, balancing the budget against the monthly reconciliation and management of the Tactical Advertising Program (TAP) budget.

3. Partner & Vendor Performance Management

While specialists handle the day-to-day coordination with vendors, you are responsible for the high-level performance strategy of the partner ecosystem.
  • Vendor Ecosystem Strategy: Oversee agency partners and tech vendors to ensure projects remain within budget and are completed on time.
  • KPI Alignment: Establish the success metrics for media vendors, ad-tech partners, and website agencies, ensuring their performance contributes to the overall business goals.
  • Performance Reporting: Drive the "continuous improvement" mindset by overseeing the execution of post-mortems and synthesizing departmental reporting for senior leadership.

4. Strategic Innovation

As a manager, you are tasked with identifying where the business needs to go next, rather than just maintaining current operations.
  • Technology Evolution: Actively assess emerging trends in marketing technology to determine which new tools will improve efficiencies or customer engagement, moving beyond current legacy tools.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to automate workflows that are currently manual, improving the ability of the team to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PROFILE

  • 5+ years direct responsibility in marketing, advertising, or agency, preferably focused in automotive.
  • MBA degree in marketing or business administration preferable
  • Proven track record in digital advertising, strategic development, dealer operations and advertising, CRM, website management and data management.
  • Research proficiency
