Overview

We’re looking for an AI Engineer to join our Marketing team in a full-time, onsite role in Alpharetta, GA.

About the Role

Aptean’s Marketing team is building the AI-powered workflows that will define how modern marketing gets done, and we need a technically strong engineer to help make that real. This is not a traditional AI research role or a pure product engineering position. It’s a hands-on builder role at the intersection of AI development and marketing operations.

You’ll work directly with our marketing organization to understand how campaigns, demand generation, competitive analysis, product marketing, and event execution actually work — then design and deploy AI agents and automations that make those workflows faster, smarter, and more scalable. You’ll also help the team cut through fragmented, ad-hoc AI usage and bring structure to how AI is applied across the function.

This is an individual contributor role with real growth potential. If you’re technically sharp, intellectually curious about marketing, a great communicator and motivated by the measurable impact your work creates, this is a role where you can grow fast.

About You

You’re a technically strong engineer who is comfortable building and deploying AI agents, writing code, and working with tools like Claude and similar platforms to automate real workflows. You don’t need to be a marketing expert — but you’re genuinely curious about how marketing works, and you’re the type of person who goes and figures things out rather than waiting for requirements to land in your lap.

You bring:

  • Hands-on experience building, deploying, and maintaining AI agents and automations
  • Strong coding ability in Python and comfort working with APIs, LLMs, and AI tooling
  • Ability to evaluate build-vs.-buy decisions: you can assess existing tools, recommend the right solution, and manage its implementation
  • A metrics-driven mindset — you can speak to the measurable impact of your work: time saved, efficiency gained, business outcomes delivered
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder skills — you’re comfortable going into a team, learning how they work, and earning their trust
  • Cross-functional instincts: you proactively seek out the information you need instead of waiting for a requirements document
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
To be ahead of the pack, you might have:
  • Exposure to marketing workflows like campaign execution, demand generation, product marketing, competitive intelligence, or event targeting
  • Experience working with or alongside marketing or GTM teams in a B2B environment
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and how they connect to AI tooling
  • Prior work building AI solutions that non-technical teams actually adopted and used
  • Background in an early-stage or fast-moving startup environment

What You’ll Work On
  • Design and deploy AI agents that automate repeatable marketing workflows — campaign planning, audience selection, event targeting, messaging, landing-page content, and more
  • Partner with product marketing and sales enablement to explore AI applications like dynamically generated seller materials and competitive intelligence automation
  • Assess and consolidate the team’s current AI tool usage, bringing structure and consistency to how AI is applied across the marketing function
  • Evaluate third-party AI solutions and make informed build-vs.-buy recommendations
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and marketing stakeholders to identify the highest-value automation opportunities
  • Measure and communicate the business impact of your work in concrete terms

What’s in it for you?

Aptean offers competitive pay and robust benefit plans along with the opportunity to grow your career in a fast-paced, flexible and casual environment, an outstanding opportunity for career development and growth.
