Manager, Manufacturing Engineering

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Manager, Manufacturing Engineering to lead our Manufacturing Engineering team in supporting both new and legacy products. This leader will drive operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, and cost while building scalable and sustainable manufacturing capabilities in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

This role partners closely with Lean/Continuous Improvement, Product Development, Quality, and Facilities teams to strengthen manufacturing processes and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do
  • Lead all manufacturing engineering functions to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives aligned with company policy deployment.
  • Develop and implement Lean/CI-driven manufacturing processes and standard work to increase output, reduce defects, and improve product quality and reliability.
  • Benchmark and introduce best-in-class manufacturing practices and assembly techniques.
  • Improve process flows to reduce cycle time and overall production costs.
  • Own item routings, work instructions, and process flow documentation.
  • Support New Product Development (NPD) by driving Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of highly skilled manufacturing engineers and technicians.
  • Identify and resolve manufacturing challenges using innovative problem-solving methods (Value Engineering, A3PS, variance reduction).
  • Strengthen team technical and professional capabilities in a continuous improvement environment.


Requirements

What We're Looking For
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical Management required
  • Master's Degree preferred
Experience
  • 7-10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, operations, and technical management
  • High-Mix / Low-Volume manufacturing experience preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience leading a technical team
Technical Skills
  • Experience with manual and automated assembly processes (electronic and mechanical products)
  • Strong Lean and Six Sigma application experience
  • SolidWorks proficiency
  • BI and ERP system experience
  • Proven project management skills with ability to prioritize multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment
