Basic FunctionHF Sinclair Refining is seeking a Manager Maintenance who will be responsible for the management and day-to-day operations of the Maintenance department for the plant. This includes supervision of both staff and represented employees.
Job Duties- Manages Maintenance Department to a safe, environmentally sound, and reliable operation
- Manages the execution of all routine maintenance activities in conjunction with other departments as needed
- Co-owns the major maintenance process with the Capital Projects Construction manager
- Responsible for planning and execution of small equipment outages and overhauls
- Leads the management of the overall site Maintenance Budget in collaboration with other budget stakeholders
- Develops Department workforce including training, job rotations, and special assignments department includes approximately 60 company craft and 20 company staff
- Responsible for Contract partner relationships and manages contractor headcount to support Maintenance budget delivery
- Leads continuous improvement and Lean concept implementation for the Maintenance Department and Maintenance Execution work process
ExperienceA minimum of 10 years of relevant petrochemical experience is required. Engineering, maintenance or construction experience required.
Education LevelA minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience is required.
Required SkillsAdvanced ability to lead and direct a large interdisciplinary work force. Strong interpersonal, time-management and organizational skills. Ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication. Advanced reading and writing skills, with the ability to perform complex mathematical calculations.
Supervisory/Managerial ResponsibilityResponsible for the direct supervision of up to three employees and total department of approximately 80 employees (60 craft, 20 staff)
Work ConditionsOffice based with up to 5% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, out-of-doors environment including but not limited to work associated with chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, loud noises, vibrations, and working in confined spaces. Subject to all temperatures, weather and varying road conditions.

Salary Range: The salary range includes the minimum and maximum base salary values. A candidate's offer can vary depending on differentiating factors, including but not limited to education, training, or experience.
This position has a salary minimum of $153,900.00 and maximum of $285,900.00.
