Position OverviewGreen Bay Packaging is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance function within our manufacturing operation. This is a highly visible, hands-on role, with approximately 80% of time spent on the production floor supporting equipment reliability, troubleshooting issues, coordinating projects, and working directly with operators and vendors, and 20% spent on planning, reporting, purchasing, and administrative responsibilities. This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys being on the floor, solving problems in real time, and driving reliability improvements across a manufacturing operation.Responsibilities• Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.• Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance activities to support production goals and minimize downtime.• Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs.• Troubleshoot equipment issues and lead root cause analysis (RCA) efforts to improve reliability.• Monitor maintenance and downtime metrics and implement improvements to increase equipment performance.• Coordinate equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and capital projects.• Support equipment installations, trials, and process improvement initiatives.• Manage maintenance-related purchasing, contractor services, and vendor relationships.• Maintain and optimize spare parts inventory and critical maintenance resources.• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.• Partner closely with production personnel to resolve equipment issues and support daily operations.
- This position is scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with flexibility to meet business needs as required.
Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required OR 7-10 years of progressive maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems.• Experience with preventive maintenance, reliability programs, and capital project management.• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues and improve asset reliability.• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.• Ability to balance a highly visible floor presence (approximately 80% of time) with planning, reporting, and administrative responsibilities (approximately 20% of time).Compensation & BenefitsIn addition to a competitive wage, the selected candidate will enjoy a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, prescription drug, wellness programs, STD, LTD, life insurance, company matching 401(k) and pension.
