  • Manage the online portal for Coaction’s loss control services and improve processes.
  • Prepare operational and performance reports for stakeholders and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations, acting as a technical resource regarding risk control matters for underwriting, claims, and insureds or potential insureds
    • Ensure quality surveys are completed to assist in risk selection as an integral part of the underwriting process
    • Develop, submit and implement state-mandated loss control plans
    • Respond to state-mandated loss control inspections and data calls
    • Keep abreast of any changes to laws and regulations which pertain to loss control
  • Responsible for performing account coordination, directing work, quality assurance, problem solving and solutions management
    • Ensure quality surveys are completed to assist in risk selection as an integral part of the underwriting process
    • Conduct quality assurance checks and approve completed surveys for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards
    • Address and resolve any survey-related issues or client concerns in a timely manner
    • Participate in or complete surveys when required
    • Complete recommendation letters and follow ups
  • Liaison between vendors, underwriting, and claims to optimize delivery of risk control services
    • Execute programs to aid in the reduction of controllable losses as requested by underwriters
    • Determine how best to align service providers based on technical skill sets
    • Assist in developing guidelines and tools for surveyors and services
    • Facilitate effective communication between field staff, clients, and internal stakeholders
    • Manage approval process for insureds’ consultative services and extended training programs
    • Assign work to vendors/consultants and ensure timely, accurate completion
    • Develop financial plans and budgets for Loss Control expense
  • Enhance and maintain Coaction’s loss control services online portal
  • Develop or improve processes, metrics, and best practices for survey and service delivery. Identify and implement improvements including identifying optimal uses of automation and artificial intelligence. 
  • Prepare and deliver operational and performance reports to stakeholders and senior management.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years P&C loss control/risk engineering experience, including 5+ years of loss control field expertise, at least 3 years managing large multi-line service accounts and vendor management.
  • Ability to identify loss drivers, perform loss analysis, develop/build/implement service plans.
  • Familiarity with state insurance regulatory requirements
  • Able to make decisions with and without established guidelines and provide technical support to underwriters and insureds
  • Experience with training, mentoring, coaching other loss control professionals.
  • Strong verbal/written/listening/presentation & communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and comfortable with hybrid office environment
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, multi-tasking abilities, and flexibility with prioritizing/re-prioritizing of tasks

**This role must sit in our Morristown, NJ office on our hybrid schedule, being in office no less than 3 days a week**.



Salary range specific to for this role : $111,000-$147,000 + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, and qualifications.  In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
